How To Brew The Perfect Darjeeling Tea

Home Brewing Tips for Darjeeling Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp (about 2-3g) loose leaf Darjeeling tea
  • 8 oz (240ml) fresh, cold water
  • Optional: milk and sugar to taste

Instructions:

  1. On a sauce pan put fresh cold water and bring it to just below boiling.
  2. Warm your teapot or cup by rinsing it with hot water, then discard the water.
  3. Place the loose leaf Darjeeling tea in an infuser or directly in the pot/cup.
  4. Pour the hot water over the tea leaves.
  5. Steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
  6. Remove the infuser or strain the tea into your cup.
  7. If desired, add a small amount of milk and/or sugar to taste.
  8. Enjoy your perfectly brewed cup of Darjeeling tea!

Note: For a second steeping, increase the steeping time to 5 minutes.
